Chris Robinson

Hello, I am Chris Robinson, Managing Partner and founder of RFG Wealth Advisory. I live in Argyle, Texas, just a short distance from our Argyle office.

I am proud to be a native Texan as I was born and raised in Denton, Texas.

I have been married to my wife, Joyce, for almost 23 years. We have four children, Henry, Jacob, Ben and Molly. Henry and Jacob are in college so we have Ben and Molly still at home.

In the fall we can be found on Saturdays watching Jacob play college football.

I enjoy fly fishing in the mountains in the summertime. I also like to quail hunt in west Texas with my kennel of bird dogs.

I enjoy good wine and like to travel the world!

I have been a financial advisor for over 30 years and work with a very talented team members helping people to succeed financially. We like to say “Financial Success is not the result of chance!”

Favorite type of Vacation

Fly Fishing in Montana or Idaho. I love standing in a stream in the mountains and casting a fly. I have fished in Idaho, Montana, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming. When it gets really hot in Texas, that’s when I like to go!

My wife and I have started traveling overseas to Europe and we love it. I want to visit as many countries as possible.

Favorite Saturday Hangout

Wherever my son Jacob is playing college football. I love watching my son Jacob play football. He plays with grit and emotion and he really loves his teammates.

Favorite Pet

I have many! My Labrador “Buddy” is the smartest dog I have ever seen. He is an awesome retriever and he is a great family member!

I have been quail hunting in West Texas ever since I was 5 years old with my grandfather. I have 10 bird dogs, Queenie, Sammy, Pearl, Tucker, Kate, Smokey, Daisy, Johnny, Ellie and Louis! My wife Joyce helps me take care of the dogs, they are a joy in our lives!

Favorite Drink

Kentucky Bourbon – I do like very good bourbon, I don’t drink it a lot but when I do I want it to be very good! I also like very good wine, especially Pinot Noir and Cabernets. I very much like French and Italian wines as well.

Favorite Music

I love many kinds of music. It depends on where I am and what I am doing as to what music I listen to. I like classic country and Texas Country when at the ranch. I like Jimmy Buffett in the summer by the pool. I like 1980’s music a lot. I really love classical music, Mozart and Vivaldi are two of my favorite composers.

Favorite Ice Cream Flavor

My favorite flavor of ice cream is Pralines and Cream. It was my Grandma’s favorite and now it is mine.

Favorite Coffee

We really love our coffee here at RFG. When you come in for a visit, we take special pride in serving very good coffee which we brew in a French Press and serve in fine china. It’s something to look forward to each morning. If I am at a coffee shop or traveling, my coffee drink of choice is a Cappuccino. Nothing better than a good Cappuccino!
